Our money tree is growing
We’ve got a money tree and it’s growing! It’s our business and we’re set to grow like mad in this last $$$ quarter. But we’ve had to take action to get to where we are and where we’re heading. Want to know what we’ve done? Ok, here it is, in detail.

Our specific plan:
We’re opening a new location so have been sending “teaser” emails to lay the groundwork for months. We asked our clients what they wanted, where and have been letting them know it’s coming.
One ad just came out last week. We’re using our “how to” and we’ve already gotten a few dozen booked appointments during this “down” economy the first week. This is compared to barely 6 responses in years previous from poorly written ads. Had we sent cards (we’re saving that suprise) we would’ve gotten triple that response again.
We’ve got another ad coming out in early Nov. Our receptionists (using our “scheduling checklist” download) are making sure we make the most of each call so we don’t waste any prospects. There’s nothing better than having your advertising dollars payoff with booked appointments or at the very least a new name on our email list.
We’ll do an invitation mailing using www.sendoutcards.com/cardemergency for an Open House in late November. Greeting cards ALWAYS get opened instead of tossed in the trash. By sending a card we’re building our relationship that invites them to our grand opening open house. No sales, just wanting to share our new location with them. This always results in product sales and booked appointments. Everyone who attends will also get a bonus gift from us.
We will follow that with a radio promo (we’re one of the grand prizes) in early December. Our name gets out to the masses free of charge.
We’ll do another mailing of holiday cards (with “$20 gift certificates”). This gift always pays itself back and then some. And finally we’ll do a last minute mailing to only those who have bought GC’s in the past letting them know they can buy them online and print them instantly.
We’ll spend December retraining our receptionists how to get people in when they call instead of losing them. We’ll also go over how to upsell gift certificates into packages and series instead of just services or dollar amounts. There’s a TREMENDOUS amount of waste in they way people package their gift certificates, we’ll get into that online though.
Come January we’ll retrain our staff on how to do consultations (see our “consultations that sell DVD”) to properly handle new clients who will be coming in from receiving GC’s.
…then it’s on to Valentines day 🙂
